What Causes Swelling And Difference In Color In Toe?
My middle toe is swollen and of normal color. There is no heat in the toe, only the swelling. This has been this way for just under a year. There is pain upon walking with shoes on, a burning stabbing pain. This is especially painful when hiking. Any suggestions?
The symptoms are typical of what we call peripheral occlusive vascular disease. Here the blood supply to your lower limb is impaired and due to lack of blood supply, the toes turn grey.
