What Causes Swelling And Discoloration Of The Fingers?
my finger all of the sudden turned red, discolored, but is not swollen. I do not recall getting stung by anything, hitting it on anything or jamming it. I does not hurt but looks really bad. It is discolored from the knuckle up not from the fingernail down.

Discoloration may be due to eczema or reynauds phenomenon or infection or trauma or mechanic hands or cold induced etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Please try if the fingers are getting normal after immersion into hot water. If it is reynauds phenomenon need treatment with calcium blockers or nitroprusside etc. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
