What Causes Swelling And Itching At Corners Of Eyes?

Hi - I have swollen and very itchy corners of my eyes - I have taken anti-histamines and eye drops, but nothing is working. It doesnt resolve through sleep - I wake up with them itching and they get worse during the day. It feels like the corner area is swollen (like I have something in the eye corner, but there is nothing there other than the caruncle). It si ruining my ability to drive and work.

Hi

You seem to have developed eyelid dermatitis.
Now this is basically an allergic skin condition .
Wash your face frequently to avoid accumulation of dirt and sweat in the area .
Apply a topical steroid cream like cortisone cream over the affected areas twice daily .
Take some oral antihistamines like Benadryl or levocetrizine along to relieve the associated itching and allergy .
