Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Swelling And Pain At The Bottom Of The Feet?
Ive been getting swelling and pain on the bottom of my feet after getting a cold. It started a few months ago and has been getting worse. Also during that time, I ve had pain in my joints and muscles. Also the second time my lip was swollen for a few hours. Ive lost about 10 lbs and the hair on my legs is falling off. My PCP blew me off. Dont know what to think.
As a first line management you can take analgesics like Aceclofenac or Tramadol for pain relief.
If symptoms persists, you can consult an orthopaedician and plan for an MRI scan. In that case we have to rule out possibilities like plantar fasciitis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
