What Causes Swelling And Pain In Jaw?

On the left side of my face only- swollen gland under my jaw, pain in my jaw that comes and goes and gets worse when I eat something hot. I already went to the dentist, they took x-Rays and I had an exam, they said there was nothing wrong with my teeth. Any ideas?

you need not a dentist, but an ENT surgeon, your tonsils may be enlarged or the sub-mandibular glands may be enlarged,
