What Causes Swelling And Pain In Knuckle After An Injury?

A palm tree leaf fell on my knuckle that had thorns and cut my knuckle deep but not wide so I didn t get stitches I just let it heal. However, after the leaf fell on my knuckle, it has been swollen and red and hurts to grasp things and straighten it alittle bit. Is it broken or just bruised?

Hi there may be thorn piece in yoyr hand and it causes foreign body reaction. U need a radiograph of the hand if it is present it need to be removed. Other measures are anti inflammatory medicines, antibiotics, rest ,and elevation.
