What Causes Swelling And Pain In Nipple After Taking Depo Provera?
Hi , I ve recently taken the depo provera and my nipple started swelling and hurting right after I went to the emergenct room this past Tuesday and they told me they couldn t do nothing because it was breast tissue and it was a reaction but ive been taking the depo for like a year now and I ve never had this reaction plus my nipple is starting to invert what should I do ?
if you have been on the depo shot for a year, and suddenly developed pain in one of your nippers, then it is extremely unlikely that the nipped pain and inversion is related to the depo. if it was related to the depo, then it would be in both sides, you would have developed the problem earlier on the depo, and this is a very unusual side effect. therefore I think you need to see your doctor for an exam to determine what the cause really is. you probably need an ultrasound of the breast to make sure there is no cyst or mass in the breast that could be causing this problem. I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any more questions.
