What Causes Swelling And Redness To Eye?

hi! two days ago i woke up and my right eye was swollen, tender, and a little red. i checked for a pimple thing because i thought it was a sty, but theres nothing there. i think a spider bit my eyelid but im not positive. the swelling has gotten worse but there is no open wound so i didnt see a need to go to my doctor. how can i bring the swelling down quickly? ive been using ice but it hasnt helped.

you have only mentioned swelling-of eye. you have to specify lid, surroundings of eye. no information about discharge swelling conjunctiva, pain , or itching. in that case you have to get it examined by eye doctor, and with proper diagnosis treatment can be given. it can be foreign body, injury,allergy. so treatment can be given after proper diagnosis.
