Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Swelling And Shiny Skin On Foot After Spraining It?
I severely sprained my foot seven months ago. Healing is slow and I m working with a physio on that. My foot still swells and I ve noticed now that the skin on it gets very shiny and it feels dry to the touch. The skin itself looks normal except for this shine. Is this something I should be concerned about?

You can also talk to your physio for stocking available to reduce swelling as well keep your leg elevated while sleeping with the help of pillow below your ankle. And do consult a doctor if there is swelling not at all going as well if there is a pin in leg. To Avoid any future circulation complication. Hope this was useful for you. Take care.
