What Causes Swelling And Soreness In The Finger Pricked By The Thorn?
Was pulling up a tree/tall/bush that fell during a storm, it s a pretty tall thing but with thorns, grabbing a branch to pull the tree up , I got stuck by a thorn, now 24 hrs later very sore and finger is swollen ( not bad but can t see normal wrinkles like you do in fingers, and can t close my hand completely either. ( swollen from the knukle up
Swelling is a normal body response called inflammation to any injury. It usually increases first before it subsides. But with a cut on the skin you have to be cautious it doesn't get infected.Make sure you washed carefully. If it starts getting very read and does not start subsiding in a day or so then you need to get checked and start antibiotics. Also remember to get tetanus vaccine if you are not uptodate
it is foreign material and it is organic matter type so mostly triggers infection and due to effusion of blood cells due to immune system activation u may get swelling if pus is doing thru that better tak antibiotic
