What Causes Swelling And Soreness In Throat?
I am being treated with antibiotics for cellulitis of the lower right limb - Vancomycin & Ceftriaxone. It has been 10 days and now my thyroids or upper throat is swollen and sore. I am getting chills and fever again. Could my thyroids get infected? Shold I go to emergency?

As far as the swelling and soreness in throat is concerned, it can be secondary to tonsillar or peritonsillar abscess secondary to bacterial infection. Nothing to be panic, consult an ENT surgeon and get it evaluated. Mean while you can take a course of antibiotics like cefixime and paracetamol for fever(if you are not allergic).
