What Causes Swelling And White Patches On Tonsils?
I have a feeling that my left tonsil is swollen but I can t see it when I shine a torch at the back of my mouth. I have seen white patches on it before and gargling has dislodged that. Not sure what s going on but I can feel something is there when I push the back of my tongue against it. It isn t painful but it s uncomfortable and I have an unpleasant taste in my mouth. Is it the remainder of an infection that will fade? It had felt sore on that side and into my gland a few weeks ago. Always a bit concerned as had breast cancer and full auxiliary lymph node involvement last year on that side. I am not prone to infections and haven t been laid low with a virus for several years.
Hi. This may not be related to the breast cancer you had. The best way is to get an examination by an ENT Surgeon who by virtue of his expertise can see what exactly is the problem. This will give you a proper diagnosis and investigations and treatment. Do not make it late in a hope that you never had such problems. Avoid the complications.
