Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Swelling may be due to cellulitis or edema due to cardiac or renal failureliver failure or Infections or myxedema or filariasis or varicose veins etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Keep on elevation of your limbs , use crepe bandage if no blisters , use antibiotics and pain killer medication. If symptoms not improved please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
