Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

There are numerous causes and conditions that produce swelling in the ankles and feet. The commonest causes are venous insufficiency, venous thrombosis, physiological dependent oedema, a few disorders of the kidneys, cardiac failure etc.

So, a detailed clinical evaluation and appropriate investigations are needed to arrive at a cause for your symptoms.

I suggest you to consult a general physician for a detailed workup and further management.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day
