What Causes Swelling In Eyelid After Injury On Forehead?

Hello. I fell and received a bump on my forehead about four days ago. Yesterday my right eye started feeling weird and this morning it has swollen up just underneath the eyelid area. I was wondering if the bump on the head was somehow connected to the swelling of the eye and how long would it be before the swelling went down? Thanks for your help.

Hello
Welcome to Health care Magic.

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having swelling of the eye lids following injury to forehead.

This is because of collection of fluids and blood in the layers of skin of eyelids
. Thus occurs as layers of eyelids are in connection with the layers of scalp. Being eyelid a soft tissue the fluids and blood get accumulated easily resulting in swelling.
This will resolve over 1-2 weeks. Applying cold compression will provide symptomatic relief.

Hope this is helpful to you.
Do write back to me for further questions.
Thank you
