What Causes Swelling In Glands And Pulsating Feeling While Eating?

Hi. Last night while eating corn on the cob I started feeling hot and then felt a pulsating feeling in tune with my heartbeat in my head and face. From there, it traveled down to my chest. Next, I could feel my two neck glands swelling. Next, the bottoms of my hands started burning and went on to the bottoms of my feet. This lasted for a few minutes and stopped. Only the swollen glands remained. A couple of hours later, I tried to eat some icecream. I had the exact same symptoms. I went to bed and slept all night. The swelling in the glands subsided substantially, but was still evident. I drank some tea and the swelling started again. A few hours later, I ate a sandwich without any of the symptoms and have continued to eat without any symptoms. The glands are still slightly swollen. Is it okay to wait to see my doctor tomorrow?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history swollen salivary glands with eating sweet things, and also feeling chills, pulsatile feeling in head and heart, burning of hands and feet and so on.
The causes can be:
There is a blockage to the ducts of the salivary glands due to infection, inflammation or so.
The infection thus caused the general symptoms that you mentioned.
I would advise you the following:
Yes, you can wait till tomorrow to see your Doctor.
Stop consuming anything that increases the salivary secretions too much.
You need the following:
Clinical evaluation, actual intra-oral palpation for the stones.
CT scan of the affected area to see for the presence of stone/s.
The further management will depend upon the findings.
