Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I worked one day and had to do a tremendous amount of walking. My hands were swollen after. Ever since my hands will swell up while I am sleeping. Can you tell me why that is? age54, height 5.4, weight 220 meds. lisinopril 20, hysdroxzine 20, neurontin 1200 all 1xday
The swollen hands in the morning are a sign of sleep posture. If you sleep on your hands and put the majority of your weight on your side, you could wake up with swollen hands. I suggest to change your sleeping position throughout the night.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
