Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
It started behind my husbands knee now has gone to his inner thighs on both sides his legs swell and some times it is hard for him to move his leg my husband is only 28 what would cause this and how can I help hum releave the swelling and pain plz help thank u
Since the swelling started behind the knees it can be baker's cyst. The swelling & stiffness is because of the inflammation. Get your husband physically examined to rule out inguinal hernia, DVT, muscle sprains & tears, kidney stones. He will have to go through some tests & MRI to detect any blood clot or deep vein thrombosis. Sometimes, DVT, also has similar symptoms.
In the meantime, he can take pain medications like Ibuprofen, acetaminophen. Can make use of brace or cane. Get evaluated of the illness so that treatment can be done at the earliest with either medication or surgery depending upon the severity of the disease detected.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Nupur K,
