hello my son had knee surgery 14 days ago and they had to wire the knee cap .. he has had some swelling of the leg on an off for about a week now. he went to er and they said there wss no blood clot they could find.. is this normal? he still has his staples. help
Post surgery swelling is common do not worry about this. If swelling remains persistent then further investigation may be required.
Till time take rest ,follow limb elevation instructions. Vit C intake may reduce symptoms early.
Later on physiotherapy and assisted exercises are important.
