Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
It seems you are having swelling in ankles, feet, now moving up to the knee, also it is hurting you. Acute pain and swelling involving feet, ankles and spreading towards knee is suggestive of Chikungunya Virus Infection. You need to undergo serological diagnosis ELISA assay to measure chikungunya-specific IgM levels. Results require two to three days. Alternative possibility is Reactive Arthritis. However,Reactive Arthritis is usually asymmetric and additive, with involvement of new joints occurring over a few days to 1–2 weeks. The joints of the lower extremities, especially the knee, ankle, and small joints of foot , are most commonly involved. In either case NSAIDs e.g .Indomethacin, 75 mg/d in divided doses or Naproxen 250 mg thrice a day orally with antacid like PPIs (pantoprazole 20-40 mg/day orally) or paracetamol (acetaminophen) 500 mg thrice a day orally for 03-05 days will promptly relieve the symptoms.Aspirin is not recommended
