I was curious I was diagnosed with a hydrocele and a few cysts(ultrasound was done) but its my actual testicle that is 2× the size not the scrotum(which I thought was the swelling in a hydrocele) and now im having a nagging feeling in it could it be something else other th as n a hydrocele?
Hello and welcome to HCM. As an Urologist, let me assure you that, a hydrocele is a painless swelling. The hydrocele and cysts can be made out very clearly on an ultrasound scan. Cysts are formed in the area above the testis, whereas some hydroceles have cystic formations within it,(septated hydrocele). If you're in doubt, you're welcome to send it here, in my name, for an expert opinion. Dr.Matthew J.Mangat.
