Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had knee surgery on Feb 22 of this year. The surgery had orthoscopic and i have a couple of two inch insitions. The only problem I have at this point is with my calf and foot. My calf has a burning sensation to it. I will wake up more than a few times to move because it will ache. My foot on the other hand is having the most problems. It has the buring sention but I will experience some streaks of nerve pain on top and in my toes will seem that some one is poking them with needles. The burning is none stop and the shooters are quite common through the day. My doctor proscribed Gabapentin 300mg but it seems that they don't help any. Also my ankle and foot will still swell turning a dark red. Is there any thing I can do to relieve some of these symptums? Not sleeping well so getting tired. Just need some help.
