What Causes Swelling In The Eyelid?

My left eye lid is swollen a little red and now a few days later my eye is looking bruised. It does not seem like a sty and I currently also have a nasty cold. The swelling is worse in the morning. I have been doing hot compresses 4x a day with no change, what are ur thoughts?

Hello
Welcome to Health care magic

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having swelling in the eyelid.
This indicates inflammatory swelling of the glands of the eyelids in the form of hordeolum. The treatment of the condition is by use of antibiotics and anti-inflammaotry drugs.
Hence I advice you to consult your eye doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
