What Causes Swelling In The Legs And Feet?

My husband is 65 years old and in good health until recently both feet are swollen quite a bit and the only thing I can think of is he sits at the computer most of the day. online game with his brother . I told him we need to see a Dr about this . What do you think ? Thanks

There are ao many resion for swelling. Swelling can be pitting or non pitting. If it is non pitting than most common cause for that is hypothyroidism symptoms of which is weakness cold body ,intolerance to heat, somnolence(day time sleepiness) etc. If it is pitting type than it can be due either heart failure of kidney disease . If it is heart failure than sweeling appear over dependant part of body like leg after prolong sitting and and if it is kidney than sweeling will be seen on face in morning so i would suggest you to tell your husband about its seriousness and take him to the doctor for investigation.
