What Causes Swelling In The Lower Abdomen After 6 Months Of Child Birth?

I m almost 6 months postpartum via c-section. I m going to have to back track to make some sense. Obviously a woman bleeds after giving birth but I bled for 4 months. Not even a week after I stopped bleeding my incision started hurting really bad and would get to the point where I look 5 months pregnant I m so swollen. I had a ct and they didn t find anything but I can feel a knot right above my incision in the center. This is still going on and I don t know why. The pain just keeps getting worse, the swelling started on my right side but is now across my entire lower abdomen. When I wake up my stomach is flat but by the end of the day like I said I look 5 months pregnant. I have not had a period since I stopped bleeding, it s been two months. But starting today I have had a brown discharge. There is no pink or red in it and I m curious as to if this is normal? I cannot afford to go to a doc right now and would just appreciate some input on all of this.

Hi I think you will become normal after 6 months. Sometimes it takes some time to get back to normal state. If you are breast feeding then your periods may be irregular. The swelling of your abdomen may be due to bloating so you can take some antacids. The knot which you are talking about is the stitch. So it will take time to resolve but if it persists it can be removed by a small surgery. The pain which you are having may be due to infections which may require antibiotics. I have answered your question.
