I have an area of swelling that has caused me some concern. It is located in the middle of my chest directly under my collarbone. There is more swelling on the right side than the left. There is a little tenderness, particularly if I inhale deeply. I was wondering what it could possibly be and if I should be concerned about it?
Thanks for your question on HCM. In my opinion you should get done ultrasound examination of neck region. As swelling in the area , you are mentioning can be due to 1. Lymphnodes 2. Thyroid 3. Bone swelling etc. So ultrasound will diagnose these. In my opinion it is lymphnode only. As cervical lymphnodes are commonly increased in infection. So get done ultrasound neck.
