What Causes Swelling In The Throat, Dryness In The Tongue, Cough And Sinus?
I think it may be extreme allergy symptoms but not sure. Two months ago went to emergency they think I had a esophagus spasm. Now it feels like throat is swollen, tongue is dry and feels swollen. Sometimes hard to swallow. I also have general allergy symptoms like cough, red eyes and sinus drainage. Not sure what to do. Male 59.

You may be suffering Acute viral pharygitis or allergic rhino pharygitis or gastroesophageal reflux disease etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Avoid cool drinks and freeze water avoid smoking and caffeine drinks. Use tablet antihistamine and decongestant medication under your doctor guidance. Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
