What Causes Swelling In The Tongue In A Person With Paraganglioma?

I am going through Pin Point Radiation on my left neck, have a paraganglioma associated with pheocromocytoma and I am on treatment 24 out of 30 and I am having major issues with my inside of my mouth and throat feels to be swelling hard to swallow hard to breathe.. also everything is hurting to eat or drink looks like pockets in my throat that are white, taste buds are all swollen, side of cheeks are raw as well... is this normal and what do I do?

you might be suffering from radiation mucositis.you can use chlorhexidine mouth gargles,apply candid mouth ointment after oral cleaning of white patches with smooth brush.you have to take vitamin supplements along with this.consult your treating doctor if no relief
