Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain swelling of tongue along with appearance of chewed tongue on both sides seems to be most probably due to side effect of the Anaesthetic medication that must be given to you before surgery to make you numb or unconscious..

It can also be due to side effect or allergic reaction to any other medication that you must be taking..
In case if it is due to anaesthesia medicine then the symptoms will gradually subside as the effect of the anaesthesia will wean off from the body and can take for 3 to 4 days for the resolution..

But in case if the symptoms does not improve even after that then it would be probably due to any other medication and it has to be ruled out by your treating surgeon and its intake has to be stopped..
He can also advise you anti allergics like Benadryl or Levocetrizine to relieve the swelling..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
