What Causes Swelling In Vagina And Burning During Urination After Having Sex?
Hi, a couple days ago I had oral sex with my boyfriend and he had some stubble..,now for the past few days my vagina is swollen and sore and it burns when I pee. This has happened once before and itwas uncomfortable for a day but it has now been 3 days and it is still burning, sore and swollen. I am flipping out because I am unsure if it is just highly irritated beard burn that burns whe. I urinate because of the urine on the soreness or if it is fact herpes or an std. I was assuming beard burn be aide it has happened before but we were a little rougher this time and it has been 3 days? Is it possible to mistake severe beard burn for an std? Or is there anything I can use to sooth it? I have used a and d ointment toda.
Hello, Thanks for letting us know your health concern. In the current scenario, the more likely cause of your symptoms is the rough sexual act causing trauma to the soft genital parts. STDs present with discharge, general illness, lymphadenopathy, ulcers etc. You can use cold compress to get relief from the soreness of the vagina. Urinary alkalinizers and antispasmodic medication are helpful. Urinalysis may be needed to exclude infection if there is no relief. Please get further information from your health care provider. Take care.
