What Causes Swelling, Itching And Soreness In My Nose?
I ve had pain swelling, itching, and a sore in my nose that won t heal for sometime. 6 different antibiotics.. nothing. it gets no better with meds. amd no worse without. Culture came back all normal bactiria. biopsy taken yesterday. Dr. found an ulcer. I also have pain behind my eye, decresed taste, funny smell in my nose comes and goes, ringing in my ear, and facial numbness. All on left side only. Any ideas?
It can be diagnosed by routine blood count and xray of the face to rule out haziness.
Sinusitis can be treated with medicines like antibiotics, decongestant, antihistamines and anti inflammatory drugs.
Surgery is not a must for everyone. But if sinusitis does not reduce with conservative medicines ,and if sinusitis is recurring very frequently, may be 3 episodes in 6 months then we advise for surgery.
And if the sinusitis is associated with nasal poylp, nasal mass, fungal sinusitis then also surgery is a must. Surgery for sinusitis is a endoscopic surgery.

It can be diagnosed by routine blood count and xray of the face to rule out haziness.
