Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having swelling in my legs, ankles and feet. Four months ago I had two stents put in my heart and three month ago I had a cardiac eblasion. Three years ago I had surgery to remove a tumor from my aorta. i have had severe a-fib since the surgery and that was the reason for the two procedures. My question is, can the swelling be caused from my heart?
Yes, Right Heart failure can indeed cause swelling of both lower limbs. If I were your treating doctor I would suggest investigations such as ECG and ECHO to close in on the diagnosis. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help
