I went to the doctor on May 1 because I was running a low grade fever. The doctor said I had a little fluid behind my ear. I was placed on Augmentin. I have also had a lymphnode on the base of my neck that is slightly enlarged. Doctor said to watch. The lymphnode on the right side of my neck has been the size of an apple and now the upper right side of my back is also swollen the size of my hand. I returned to doctor today for blood test. I had cancer 5 years ago in breast. The original doctor does not seem concerned. They have not followed up with blood tests or bone density tests during the last five years. I have also had a splenic artery anurysm and it scares me that I might could have another in different part of body
Lymph node enlargement may be due to infection like tuberculosis or cervical or oral cavity infection or malignancy or lymphomas. Already you have a history of malignancy so don't neglect please consult with your surgeon early as possible. He will do FNAC and treat you accordingly.
