My 15 year old daughter has a swelling on her left eye lid. She had the same thing when she was 6 and the eye doctor I took her to said that it was something that started with the letter "M", too long to remember, and that a lot of kids got it. I would notice it whenever she had an allergy attack. Can you tell me what causes this and what to do for it?
It seems from the history that your daughter is having swelling involving the eye lid. The most common cause is because of inflammatory swelling involving the glands of the eyelid. This requires treatment by the use of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
