What Causes Swelling On Feet After An Injury?

I fell down the stairs yesterday, it wasn't a huge fall, I think I skipped a step or two and I landed on my left foot/ankle. My foot was numb fof a minute and then it went away, and my ankle felt fine. Now the top of my foot is slightly swollen and it kind of hurts when I walk!

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, the history given here is suggestive of soft tissue injury, because of the fall and this could be little long last even with the medicine if you are taking for this, in fact the internal injury takes little more time for healing if the conditions persist then it is better to get done the x-ray of leg, hope this information helps you have nice day.
