What Causes Swelling On The Sides Of Labium Majus?
I used the veet shaving cream on intimates (around the vulva and mons pubis), a day later, it was hurting like i injured myself or was reacting to it, my lower labium majus was itchy and it became like a sore but i ignored it as it was manageable so now 2 months later there isn t any pain or sore however there is a little swelling on both sides of the lower labium majus. what does this mean?
I can understand your concern. As you suffered from an allergic reaction two months ago and the symptoms associated with it has disappeared, the swelling you are feeling around labia majora is not related to that. In addition, usual allergic reactions do not stay for as long as two months.
The swelling you are feeling may be a benign cyst that has been there for a longer time than you have observed. If the cyst is not causing you pain or discomfort, it is left untreated. However, if it develops symptoms like pain, burning or increase in size, surgical excision is required.
However, I would advise you to arrange one consultation with the gynecologist for the physical examination of the swelling and confirmed diagnosis as a painless lump in any area of the body should not be ignored.
