What Causes Swelling On Tongue And Gums?

For a couple days I've noticed an increasingly painful happening in my mouth. My tongue is extra pink and swollen, has "gullies" in it and this sensation includes the roof of my mouth and my gums as well - I wear a top denture and bottom partial. By tonight all I can eat is a popsicle. What might this be?

It can be allergic reaction due to denture that is why your tongue and gums are swollen, so once you should visit your dentist and get proper examination of the denture done
