What Causes Swelling & Redness Of Eyes?

Son 14 yrs old has 2 black heads on side of face and last night it started to swell up. He did try to squeeze it a bit to see if anything would come out but nothing did. this morning he woke up and his eye was partially swollen shut. The swelling has gone down a bit but it looks like he got punched in the eye because he has some redness about a 1/2 inch under the eye and there is still swelling. How do I treat something like this??

Hi
One should never squeeze such a lesion. This causes further infection and induration.
Now one should do hot compress, take a short course of antibiotic and analgesic. Apply betadine soln locally.
Do not lie on that side.
