I notice I occasionally get a swelling under one or less frequently both eyes, almost on the cheek bone. I first had this about 5 years ago after drinking a couple of glasses of wine, both of the areas under my eyes really swelled up. I had to apply a cold cloth to reduce the swelling and heat. They swelling eventually reduced overnight. I drank red wine a couple of times since and my face got very blotchy with red blotches around my face. I do not drink red wine now. However even whilst not dring red wine I occassionly get these swellings under my eyes, any thoughts?
It is a puffy eyelid. The condition may be precipitated or exacerbated by stress, tension worries, alcohol, sleeplessness, renal diseases, anaemia, etc. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment.
I would suggest
- avoid stress, anxiety, tension and worries
- take nutritious food
- enough sleep
- tab multivitamins and iron
- cap vitamin E
- tab vitamin C
- cold compresses on puffy eyelids.
