Good morning:
I am a 57YO WF with history of carcinoid cancer. I have thus far had two surgeries to decrease tumor burden Stage IV, also post op two chemo embolizations, one to each lobe of the liver. I am having problems with swelling of the abdomen, vomiting, nausea. My SGOT was normal, SGPT light elevated, alkaline phosphatase around 1000 (don't have exact figues in front of me). Could this elevation be causing swelling of the abdomen and nausea or is it possble the tumors are dying and the chemicals introduced in my system. The chemo always makes me sick. I also had a LAR shot of Sandostatin which gave me a large ileus several wks back but that since has resolved on CT yesterday and no blockages seen.\
Thank you so much for your help.\
