I was eating chips last night and one poked hard in my gumline. Before bed last night my cheek and jawline (in between ear and chin) were swollen and tender and I figured bruised from chip. From history it seems that due to injury on gum line with chips now there is infection took place leading to swelling, cellulitis and tenderness.
There might be possibility of having small piece of chips in gum.
Go for one antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicine course for 3 days.
Do antiseptic gargles,
Ok and take care.
