What Causes Swollen And Painful Throat After Using Macrobid?

Hi my wife is on macrobid to treat an uti, but it s like her throat is now now a bit swollen as one of the side effects and she would like to take piriton to get rid of the swollen throat. is it ok to take piriton as she has already started with macrobid?

It is my opinion that it is fine for her to take Piriton for the sore throat along with the Macrobid. They should not cause any problems when taken together. The sore throat may not have anything to do with the antibiotics so if it gets worse, if there is a fever or any other new symptoms I would have her seek medical advice. Hope she feels better!
