What Causes Swollen And Purple Lips?
Hi. Thank you for taking my question. I woke up a few days ago and the left side of my bottom lip felt funny. I noticed that it is a little swollen (less than dime size) and purple under the skin. I don t recall doing anything to cause this. Can you help? Thanks!

In case there was no injury the next possibility is insect bite as the mild swelling of lower lip alone without the involvement of surrounding structures is most often caused by trauma followed by infection/infestation.
