What Causes Swollen And Red Ear Lobe In A Child?

I have a 14 month onld with a right swollen and red ear lobe. It didn t seem to bother him earlier in the evening, but at bath time he was swatting at it and when he touched it he cried. I am uncertain as to what to do for him and will likely take him in tomorrow to get checked out.

This could be a mild infection, or it is possible that maybe that part of his ear was injured.
Either way, your doctor will be able to diagnose it and recommend an appropriate treatment plan. Meanwhile, cool compress will help, if the baby allows.
