Hello,

You are suffering from swollen and sensitive testicle after being hit on the balls. Such symptoms commonly occur due to trauma, testicular torsion, accumulation of the fluid in the scrotal sac, enlargement of the veins of the scrotal sac, hernia, etc. You can apply ice pack if the pain is minor to reduce swelling. You can take pain relieving medications, acetaminophen or Advil, one SOS when needed. Avoid any type of sexual activity for a couple of days. Avoid strenuous exercises and heavy work like lifting anything heavy.

Mild swelling with mild injury will disappear in a few days. Larger swelling in a testicle with pain, fever and sometimes abnormal discharge can lead to scar tissue and loss of fertility if not treated. If your swelling and pain are not reducing and are rather persistent you should get clinically examined by a urologist. Get required tests and investigations done. You will be treated accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
