What Causes Swollen Ankles , Legs , Diarrhea And Constipation?

My father is in 4th stage he has swelling of the ankles, spreading to the top of the legs, he had diarohea but is not constipated, he sounds course and although flushed he states he is cold, my understanding is that his body is now shutting down, please confirm if I am right and what time scale we are talking , thanks

Very brief information you gave here, what kind of 4th stage you have not mentioned. As a matter of fact to know the prognosis there has to be diagnosis and clinical reports. You may be wrong. I advise you to discuss this with his doctor. The signs you stated here may not indicative of ending of life of patient but it can be due to the infection and that can be treated well. This cannot be taken as a last moment of life.
