Hi! I had my second mirena iud placed about 3 month ago and starting about 6 weeks ago my breasts have been becoming progressively more swollen and tender. I otherwise feel fine. This is due to progesterone effect which is being released by MIRENA on a daily basis where heaviness and often soreness in breasts is felt. This can be subsided by increasing your daily water intake and diluting the effect.
