Hi. I woke up this morning wt a swallen cheek due to my abcess. I think it may hav to do with the fact I lost my tooth n now the tooth that was next to my tooth that came out hurts. Should I just wait for the swellen to go down or go to the dentist. It was not in pain untill noon and my cheek has gotten harder.
Hi! Welcome to Healthcaremagic. I read your query.Check for any cavity in that tooth or adjacent teeth. Your symptoms are of dental abscess. I suggest you to visit a dentist and get an x-ray done. You need to get either RCT or extraction of tooth depending on condition of tooth. You need to have an antibiotic course on prescription. Painkillers like acelofenac etc will help easing pain a bit. Do warm saline rinses if warm water does not hurt. It will help in releasing pus. Final treatment is done by dentist after examination. Hope the answer helps you. Thank you.
