What Causes Swollen Fingers And Knee Pain After Taking Steroids For Sunburn?

Hi my name is Donnalee, A friend of mine had sun poisioning this summer. He was given 3 rounds of antibo/ steroids plus a shot in the butt. Now his joints in his fingers, wrists are so swollen and out of shape. His shoulders, knees are killing him. This all started after the 3rd round was complete. It came on gradually. Could this be a side effect from 3 rounds of antibiotic steroids ?

Hi, steroids injection site become swollen, allergic reaction that is common side effect.

In steroids therapy first 24 hour joint pain ,erythema around injection site is common.
Joint pain subside itself within 24 hour.

Any sever side effect present than inform your doctor and decrease your dose of steroid.

Steroid decrease your immunity so chanses of infections is more.Take health diet to increse your immunity.

Avoid smoking and alcohol drinking.
