What Causes Swollen Lip After Smoking Marijuana?

I recently smoked a blunt( cigar filled with marijuana) and the inside of my lip is swollen quite a bit now, it was slightly more widespread at first being most of my cheek and upper left lip, then after about 10 minutes it receded to a strip in the middle of my cheek now. Is this an allergic reaction? It was a kind of cigar I had never tried before.

I can understand your concern. You are right in your assumption that it sounds like an allergic reaction. In addition, you have been exposed to this for the first time which increases the chances of it being an allergic reaction.

You can take Levocetrizine 5mg (Levocet) or Loratidine 10 mg (Lorfast) once a day for 5-7 days. It will control the allergic reaction. Do refrain from such harmful substances' use in future to prevent adverse effects on your physical and mental health.

However, if the swelling does not reduce or increases, you should visit a dentist for examination regarding other possible causes for the swelling.
